Skye sighed, slowly rising from her seat to answer the knock on her door. Her pups giggled in their makeshift crib, and she put her finger to her lips, and indicated that she would only be gone a short time. She then walked to the door, idly wondering who was there, and drew it open.
Standing before her was Eclipse, her eager countenance bringing light to Skye's heart; she looked to the side of her, seeing a stranger she did not recognize. The man was slightly thin, with a build different than others she had seen before; perhaps he was a joiner? A trader?
"Hello, Eclipse," she said. "Who do we have here?" She turned to the newcomer, her hand resting on the frame of the doorway.
