The surprise in his tone brought a wry grin from her. It wasn't often they were near each other. Once she'd figured out that horses weren't good to eat Terra had given up on the mystery of why others were so fond of them. It was too difficult to go into the barn without developing a sudden craving for easy meat. Not that the horses weren't capable of defending themselves. Terra just didn't know how to get along with prey that didn't see her as a predator ready to eat them.
He came off the large horse, Terra feeling better now that they were on the same level. Sitting down she panted, looking over the hot horse. How did it run like that for so long? Terra could eat a lot of distance at a quick trot, but a flat out run like that always left her panting for water. Not easy to keep track of everyone below you when you're up like that I suppose.
