Post dated September 18th late at night.
She couldn't sleep. Everyone was sure she was pregnant. Adonia wanted puppies, but it made her so nervous that she had life within her, precious life at that. The alpha's offspring. Yes, they were hers too, the subordinate. She never made herself stand out to the pack, and it still struck her that he had choose her! That had no reason for why she couldn't sleep. She was beginning to have trouble getting comfortable and her stomach was feeling queasy making her appetite change. Already just the other day Adonia vomitted. She was feeling increasingly upset and slightly agitated, but she wouldn't show this to her pack mates. She didn't want to snap at them or nip just because one touched her, or one tried to talk to her. Adonia wasn't even being playful much anymore. She just wanted to sleep and tonight it wasn't happening for her.
After too much frustration and wanting to snarl at the next wolf that accidentally nudged into Adonia stood and stormed out of the communal den. She walked for some time, restlessly. Finally she came to a small clearing and plopped herself down with a huff. The cool night air felt good to her and she began to smile softly. Adonia was feeling the need to be alone. It wasn't strong but she could feel it itching at her. She wanted to sleep in the old den she had with Ookami, but refused to go there. Adonia wasn't particular interested in being near anything that reminded her of the cream male. Perhaps she'd make her own, or just move all her stuff around in the one dug out hole she had for her human stuff. The books and trinkets could easily be moved in there to make room for a birthing spot. No! She didn't want to think about that right now. It was nearly a month and a half away.
A cool wind blew through the clearing and Adonia let out a more content sigh. This was much better than that stuffy den.
