WC :: 5+ :: Sorry for the wait! It's been crazy IRL.

Watching the navy eyed woman entertain Leaf did something strange to the Omega. She couldn’t trust Adonia just yet when the wounds of Titania’s disappearance and Zalen’s infidelity were still fresh. The multi colored fae was a partner in crime to what the dark king had done, and this fact only colored the wolf’s paws red. Palaydrian couldn’t think of a more despicable way of remembering one’s former alphess than sleeping with her long time mate. It made the angel feel sick to her stomach and wonder how brainless one had to be in order to do such a thing. But Adonia seemed smart, and that only made her more untrustworthy. Had she so carelessly gone to bed with the Alpha in order to climb the ranks? Disgusting, Drin immediately pushed the thought away. Leaf was here now to burn away any storm clouds looming in her head. She’d remain cordial while he was around to the best of her abilities.

The fae didn’t allow surprise to wash over her features when the hybrid suggested she shift after taking the catnip leaf and following her instructions. Perhaps it was silly of her to think most of the New Dawn wolves were against shifting. This somehow made her feel better about her family though she and her mate had been feeling like outsiders for a few weeks now. So far, Drin knew only Tharin and Kiara could not shift...but there could be others within the more wild pack of Nova Scotia. Bi-colored ocean eyes turned away when the woman began to shift, granting the subord some means of privacy, but mostly because she felt it more respectful not to stare. Leaf blatantly gawked at the woman before scampering playfully down to the water’s edge. He knew he wasn’t allowed to go in, but his bravery grew with each visit to the lake and today he stood with water up to his tiny ankles.

Palaydrian blew out air with a chuckle as she watched the bright eyed kit splash about, sending shrill purr barks in the air until Adonia came out of the lake and was back on solid ground. The young mother managed to smile tiredly at the subord, nodding her head in response to her comment. She too abhorred the sticky substance of dried DNA upon her own coat. The golden woman turned her attention to the dandelions and began to cut the stem gently with the sharp point of one of her claws. She removed the blossoms so all that was left was a handful of split up stems, jellyfish-like suspended in the air. Leaf growled happily at her feet, attacking the yellow caps with youthful tenacity and managing to dust his entire face a sunshine shade of yellow. Drin sat down with her stems and began to squeeze the sticky wet substance from the stems onto the digits of her free hand. This might sting at first, but it should soothe the cut and keep infection at bay, she explained as she gingerly began to apply the substance to Adonia’s cheek.

Credit goes to Haley for such a pretty table! <3.
