Willam had hitched up the travois to Châtiment and had figured to take him out for a bit of hunting. She knew the Moors was a choice pick for something larger but she had chosen to bypass them this time. She figured to head to where the sheep were instead, figuring that thinning out the herd there would be the best. Plus she figured she could handle the smaller creatures on her own. That had been her first thought at least. She had gotten to the area and was preparing to shift to leave the horse behind when she heard a cry coming from just further ahead.
It wasn't a sound that she was used to. A pat was given to her horse's neck before she moved past him to head in the direction that the noise was heard coming from. Willam frowned as she came upon a yearling moose trapped in the mud. It struggled to free itself, managing to get one leg out but having the rest sink further into the mud trap. She felt for the creature's struggle but wasn't certain how to go about getting it out without getting Châtiment and herself stuck as well.
Knowing that her horse would follow wherever she went she made certain to stay on firm ground. She frowned and reached up to wrap a hand around her crucifix as she tried to think of how to go about this. Of course with the travois she had brought the canvas cover and rope that she used to help protect and secure whatever kill she was bringing back with her but she had no idea what to do with the objects that wouldn't end up with everyone stuck. She figured that if she could get the rope around the moose's neck then the stallion could be used to pull it out but the problem came with actually getting the rope around the moose's neck. There was no way that she could do it without Châtiment following after her.
