The dog watched as his fellow friend quailed with fear at the approaching wave, she fearfully waddled backward and trotted toward the boy; where the water couldn't reach her. It was very cold, Edgar knew this as he then rubbed his shoulders for warmth. He was glad that he had found that abandoned human civilization when he did, because if he didn't he would be a whole lot colder right now; his clothes helped provide some heat. Food sounded good right now, he was starving. Hungrily, he reached his hand into his bag and groped around to try to find that book. Pulling it out, he set it on the ground. Hot Chocolate, the top of the page read. Well, he'd need a fire first; Edgar gathered rocks, sticks and some moss to start a nice little fire on the beach. Striking his knife on the rock, he managed to make a fire; dark, thick smoke beginning to float up into the air. He had the ingredients stashed away in his bag, so there was no need to go out getting any. He propped a rather large saucepan up above the fire and then added the water and milk. After a few moments of watching the two liquids boil together, he added in vanilla, sugar and ecru brown cocoa powder. The Brittany licked his lips as he gently stirred the ingredients together. The two jars that had held the water and the milk sat beside him, they would be used to drink out of. There was one extra cup for any nearby luperci who was curious enough to go over and see what was the reason for the fire.
