At the first bite of his stack of sweet-tasting pancakes sitting on his own plate, he remembered being in the old candy store with his friend, who he never known the name of. It was peppermints that he had first learned to make, it wasn't often that he made them since it brought up memories of his mother's death; the moment he saw her die he had one in his mouth; about to vomit up all of the other sweets that he had eaten fart too many of that day. Looking back over at his rather artistic guest, he saw him eagerly devour his whole stack. Edgar smiled, trying to avoid the thoughts of his childhood, and started to make more for him; knowing that he had a very large appetite. As he continued to cook, he saw Helios in the corner of his eye seem to be moving his mouth as he looked at his note. The Brittany had no idea how to pronounce things, his thoughts literally had no sounds associated with him; he, in a way, had a silent mind that only would bring up pictures and written words. Because of his deafness and inability to pronounce things in his mind, it made it nearly impossible for him to teach others how to write and completely unable to teach others to read. From time to time he would sit there wondering what it was really like to experience sound, was it amazing as it seemed to be? As these thoughts went through his mind, he moved the fresh pancakes over to Helios' plate and handed it to him; adding a few long strips of bacon he had made along with them. The dog was then able to see the finished work of art that the merle male had created. He reached out for the wooden object and held it in his hands, amazed by his work and then got an idea; he would draw him a picture if he would make another wooden sculpture of his goose friend. Edgar signaled to him that he wanted to do this by pretending to draw with a pencil and motion toward the sculpture. He had become friends with a fellow artist that evening.
