Edgar watched the Aussie finish his stack of cranberry pancakes, taking time to savor it this time. He appeared to be saving his favorite for last - the bacon. Smiling, the shepherd dog gave Edgar a nod; agreeing to his offer. His guest glanced over at his bird before starting to make careful cuts in the piece of driftwood. Looking back at the one he had already made, the boy decided to just paint for him; not having the kind male do yet another wooden sculpture. Right when he was going to convey this to the dog, he had lied down and started to fall asleep. Edgar smiled, then taking a wool blanket out of his bag and spreading it out over his new friend. Once Helios had finally closed his eyes, falling into a light and comfortable slumber, the Brittany started to paint the image of Helios carving him; the fire in front of him providing enough light for him to create. Hours passed as the spaniel skillfully added soft strokes to the painting, it was a beautiful night.
