ooc: It can be set whenever you want it to be, I don't mind. Oh yeah, I just looked it up and I found out that geese can live to be 15 years old, the sad thing is Edgar's pet would actually outlive him since most Brittany spaniels live to be around 12 or 13 :'c

He was smiling again, glancing at his mate as the blue-eyed man appeared to be looking through one of the many bookshelves they had. Edgar was in the kitchen, in the process of making a large cherry pie for them to eat that night; the crust for the dessert set up neatly in the pan he had gotten from trading with another luperci. Whenever he went out to go trade for things they both needed, Hati would always come along with him since he tended to worry a lot about him. Edgar worried about Hati a lot too, that was the thing that the Brittany had longed for when he was a loner; somebody to worry about. It sounds silly but it was true, he acted almost like a mother to people he cared for because his own mother was the only, and first, luperci besides Hati who had ever loved him. The male poured the sweet cherry filling onto the crust as he continued to bake. Hati was the only thing in his life now that mattered, if he were ever to lose him the stress of it all would be far too much for him to bear. The cook rolled out the top crust for the pie and cut out little hearts to show his love for Hati and their home. Edgar then took the unbaked pie and placed it in their oven, which was given to them as a housewarming gift from an old friend of Edgar's. Edgar's goose had gotten her leg stuck in between two of the logs that was their roof, she panicked as she tried to fly away; noisily calling out for help. Hati would never get to have a slice.
