Baird was becoming lost in those strange orange eyes, their brightness entrancing to the Aussie. He smiled as Sebastian tried to use some of the Aussie slang, making it sound so much more cute than he ever thought it could be. He nodded as Sebastian stated that beds were soft, he supposed he would find out, he also supposed that bunny was a funny nickname. He flicked his overly large dingo ears and tried to look at them as best he could, failing miserably. He raised a handpaw to stroke one of the white rimmed pinna. "I never thought I looked much like a bunny... Are my ears that big?" He asked, his voice quiet and somewhat petulant. His large ears and small paws were sore spots for him, the kids back home, including his own brother and sister, used to tease him relentlessly about having the largest ears in the tribe. He wouldn't usually ever reveal this insecurity, but it seemed the alcohol was taking control of his body and changing his view of the world and himself.

He felt Sebastian's arm slip around his waist and he snuggled closer, happy to have the warm body against his own. The foxy furred male fit perfectly against his side, the small amount of size difference between them meaning that Seb was the perfect piece to fit in the gap left by his raised arm. But then suddenly Sebastian was gone! He was standing up and pulling Baird with him, talking of Italians and hospitality and gracious offers. Baird nodded along as he heaved himself to his footpaws, more than a little unsteady. He was pulling more words from the onslaught that poured out of Seb's mouth, 'muggers, thieves and bad things'. He froze now that he was standing, his emerald eyes staring aghast at Bruno and Rex. Baird prided himself on being a good judge of character, having relied on his judge of body language and facial expressions to keep him alive on his travels. He had honestly thought that Bruno and Rex were good guys, and now Sebastians words were contradicting that. He looked back at Sebastian, then back to the brothers, his mouth slightly open, "You're muggers and thieves and bad things?" He asked quietly, sadness and disbelief laced in every crease in his face and the tone of his voice. He turned back to Sebastian again, "And we're still going with them?" He asked, now suspicious of Seb's motives. Baird was naught but an innocent and naive foreigner and he was aware of that, his rural upbringing making him unwise to the ways of cities, despite all his travelling.

He felt a large hand rest on his shoulder, looking over to Rex, his silver furred paw encasing his shoulder. His scared green eyes looked up into the larger males sapphire ones. Rex smiled comfortingly at the dingo and shook his head, "We are not any of these things that you say. We are not after your money or belongings, just your time and your happiness." His smile was warm and was beginning to make Baird feel much more happy about the situation, his words helping to win over the suddenly suspicious dingo. He nodded and moved towards the brothers as Sebastian had been trying to drag him to them anyway. He nodded at Seb's strange words, assuming that to abscond meant to leave. "Ok. Let's lob in to Bruno and Rex's place then."
