It had been hard breaking his ties to Aro. He cared about Elody, the center of his entire world. It had still taken a lot of time before he stopped worrying over Aro being harmed when he wasn't there. Elody replaced him, Raoth's fierce devotion and protection transferring over to his mate. Every time that he could he was there for her. She'd even helped him find a way to speak. No more did he struggle with just being understood. True, it was a private language just for the two of them, but it was still something.
Moving closer to her slim frame Raoth smiled. He wasn't exactly heavily built either, but compared to her he was buff. He hadn't stopped being a warrior, muscles clear over his frame.
