It's raining conflict

How long had it been since he was last here, a lifetime it felt like. So long ago. Now he came for a different reason. He had learned through whisperings and eavesdropped conversations that his father had sired new children with the leader of Cercatori, Skye. New siblings. This was a monumental discovery. He had missed his father's mate-ship to one of the pack females. He didn't know her, so she meant nothing to him really. This discovery was enough for him to force himself to travel again, leaving Juliet behind this time. His newly cropped fur felt a lot lighter than the scraggy, nasty mess it had been the night before, even if he did look strange with the shorter fur.

He approached the borders cautiously, unsure what had changed. Nothing smelled out of the ordinary but still, there seemed to be an edge of depression that hung about the pack, like things had gone wrong and were not righted. He sniffed around their borders for a little longer and then raised his head. It was a far cry from the strong confident howl that he used to produce, but still held a little strength and was very polite. He wished to see Skye if she were available.
