It's raining conflict

She came and she came quickly, but not happily. She came with suspicion and guardedness. The boy still towered over the short woman even though his substantial weight loss made him look ill. His skin hugged his bones savagely and although he didn't know it, he greatly resembled Jace who had only just left her hide out. A skeletal figure. He greeted her as he had done before, a bow although more stiffly performed and a gracious greeting,

"Captina Collins. Eet's nice tah see yerself again." His attention immediately latched onto the two children and he stared at them in wonder. She held them away from him though and he couldn't get a good look at them. There were only two, a boy and a girl from their scent. He was ecstatic, the first happy feeling he had felt in a long long time.

"Ahh 'ave come wit' ah request, eef yaself woul' be so kind tah agree. Ah wish tah spend time with me new brotha and sistah." There was nothing even close to hostility or ill feeling within his body language nor his voice or his eyes, just an overwhelming curiosity and wonder. For the first time in months his eyes brightened beyond their dull visage. He was a murderer, he shouldn't stain these children with his bloodied hands and yet he couldn't tear himself away from them, they were his family just as Skye now was whether she liked it or not.
