Fayne wasn't there, though there was no mistaking it was her den. The scent of the meadow, along with her own scent marked it well enough that he probably could have found it without his eyes. The stench of fish tried to overcome it, but the sweeter scent still managed to come through, if mingled with the other. Turning he watched her return to the den, some kind of skin hanging from her mouth. His tail wagged, standing up and coming over to nuzzle at her friend. It was great to see her, and he was happy to see that she was doing so well.
He licked at her muzzle, nuzzling into her neck with pride. He could smell how healthy she was. Clearly Noah was taking good care of her for her to be in such good shape. Perhaps he wasn't so bad after all. The bad impression when he'd first joined could have simply been because the cripple was having a bad day. I can't let you go hungry, not when you have pups to feed. His eyes twinkled, hoping that this time would go alright. He let her drop the weird looking skin in her den before backing up, nodding his head. He had already eaten some, this was for her.
Family comes first.
