The large wolf's affection was appreciated. Really, any sort of affection or presence of a pack mate was appreciated right now. Fayne really just wanted to be surrounded by her family. That's the very reason her own den was positioned close to the communal den so that the scents of her family would always be present and they would never be more than a short howl away from her. She was tempted to dig it in her meadow so that every time she emerged she would be surrounded by the vibrant colors and floral fragrances that distinguished the meadow. But, soon the flowers would fade leaving behind only remnants of their existence until spring came to melt away the snow so they could grow again. The flowers she had collected would serve as a token of her love for the meadow.
Fayne let a lighthearted giggle fill the air as Tharin spoke. In all honesty, she had been eating more than two wolves could to sustain her growing pups. Her hunger was insatiable. Fayne placed nuzzled Tharin. Well thank you. I have to say my stomach has been a bottomless pit lately. She took note of his bright eyed appearance, the joy radiating off of him and attaching to the soon to be mother. She tossed him another warm smile and then started on a fish. She picked it up and placed it in front of her, putting a paw on it to keep it down as she tore half of it off and swallowed it whole. The other half was consumed quickly afterwards, vicious in her manners. She was famished, even though she ate whenever she was hungry. The silver woman ate a few more fish until she couldn't eat anymore for the moment. The others would be saved for later when her appetite came to bite back at her once again. Fayne licked at her paw to clean it and then licked her lips. Haven't had fish in a long time...it was so good. Thank you again Tharin. With that she lay down, letting the food settle in her swollen stomach. There was a hidden worry in her eyes though, one she was trying her best to ignore. Though, Fayne was never one t hide her emotions.
