Tharin lowered his head, glad to hear her laughter. Nuzzling against her he settled down on the ground. Well, I'll do my best to make sure there's enough. We can't have you starving, not with so many hunters in the pack! It wouldn't do at all if that happened. He watched as she dived through the fish, the stench working it's way into her. Having Fayne smell of things other than the meadow was a little odd for him, thinking about how much the meadow and his friend was connected in his mind. They couldn't really seem to exist without each other.
Not all of the fish were devoured, though it was more than half. It was good that he'd brought back as much as he had. Your welcome. He let Fayne settle down, seeing the faint fear that was there. Moving over he rested next to her, licking softly at her fur. There has been many tragedies in the pack lately. His movements were rhythmic, doing his best to keep the topic as light as possible. It won't reach you and your pups though. There has been enough death, now the life will come. Not quite a lie, but not completely comforting. Tharin didn't believe her pups would die, though the chance was strong. It was time for the tragedies to end, and he thought it would begin with Fayne's safe delivery.
