Fayne's laughter broke out, ringing through the clean air. Tharin didn't find it nearly as amusing. He hadn't actually been expecting the pups to work against him and aid their mother. They were so sharp, acting up like that! He knew that the connection between a mother and her children was strong, but witnessing it first hand was amazing. Fayne finally calmed down and rolled over, an easy grin on the large male's lips. Well, when they're born I'll just have to be careful that they don't have a reason to try and take my rank.
Fayne's words were soft, talking about her dreams of the future for her pups. Tharin didn't doubt that they were listening, hanging onto every word. How else had they been so coordinated? They will be beautiful when they're born. His tail thumped against the ground, thinking about what it would be like when they were born. He'd have to work extra hard to make sure that the pack was safe when they came. Hopefully Amy will be dealt with by then.
Family comes first.
