He quirked a brow seeing her grin and his russet tipped tail swayed with her eagerness to learn. She perked her ears, watching his weapons curiously, and only confirmed his suspicions. Her introduction was brief and straight to the point. He paused to offer up his own name, careful not to let his guard down in the exchange. "Alister Callow," he offered with an amiable grin and slight dip of the head. His green, amber, and brown gaze was trained on her the entire time.
"No time like the present." Perplexed by her current predicament the gold hued girl disengaged, as was her only option. He wanted to help her steady herself, but thought against it, no matter the age difference she didn't need coddling. God knows no one had ever coddled him. Quite the opposite. With the way she behaved he was certain it wouldn't be appreciated. Alister repositioned himself into a defensive stance, hunching over slightly. He hitched up his shield, flexing his knees he awaited the girl's inevitable strike. She pressed him fiercely, and he was barely able to stop the blow, the swords point dragging along the hide covered face. His lips turned downwards in a contemplative frown. Her tactic had changed swiftly, and she was no longer testing him, their spar had officially begun. He wouldn't underestimate her again.
The man bulled his shield forwards, while keeping his sword close to his body to parry any other blow, hoping to knock her off balance. He accompanied the advance with balanced steps towards her, trying to force her backwards, and possibly off her feet.
