Can't Stand It

With all the leaders about within the territory, Alyssum could not help but feel a bit tense about all the events happening. She had been remaining within the Fort lately, in case anyone was in need for anything, so she had been missing her daily hunting trips, one of the few things that allowed her to relax and to be loose. But, as she rolled her shoulders and stretched her arms, she knew that remaining inactive for too long would either drive her crazy or make her edges soft, perhaps both. The next best thing, she decided, to hunting was touching up on her training.

Alyssum could not remember the last time she had a real fight, and supposed it would not hurt to go through the routine motions, just to refresh her muscle memory and to loose her joints a bit. As she started to pull her arms across her chest in preparation, she noticed that she was not alone. A familiar shape was hacking away at a wooden post, and even from here the woman could see the chips of debris flying. "Hey there--Raoth, right?" she greeted as she entered the ring, still swing her arms a bit. "Looks like you're pretty handy with that blade there. Do you know how to fight without it?" It was a yes or no question--she knew by now the man couldn't speak, so she kept her questions simple. "If you do, mind sparrin' with me? It's better to train with someone than by yourself!"
