It was not everyday traders came to the borders of Sangi’lak, and rarer was it to be met with so much to sort through. She recalled her engagement with the male from d’Arte, escorting along the fine mare and timid sheep. The items for trade had been exhibited then offering her the means to view the merchandise with all out in the open. But then, there had been a camp close by to make this possible; a place where the female would be taken should there be more to see.

Though this was not the case with the pair, she could relatively understand why. They were travelers as well as trades with a limited means to carry and display. At least as far as she was able to see. So when offered the liberty to mull through their goods, she took the offer not in offence but in understanding to their situation. As the paler female wandered away, the autumn wolf smiled kindly to the darker of the pair and placed a paw atop the bag to roll it open.

Bottles of dye and seed packets caught her eye above all else, as well as a few strangely scented plants that forced her to turn her nose away to spare her delicate sense from the malodorous good. Poisons, perhaps? There was little need for them within the Family…but she could think of how the plants could become useful elsewhere. “Are you familiar with a plant called ‘cannabis’?” The Nomad inquired to detour her mind from malicious thoughts. “Or perhaps their seeds?” Lowering her nose to the assorted packets she nosed them toward the young female for attention. “What sort of plants will these grow? Flowers? Or are they-“ oh how was it said? “-veg…atibles? Vegetibles?” Was she even calling it right? “Plants that make food?”

305 words.
