Jiva was out near the borders, thoughts in his head from all the events that happened in the past few weeks, losing his children, gaining a son in a fox. Zalen even seemed to approve of him, though Jiva was still on edge especially when it came to the unpredictable Tharin. He was always on guard and the young kit was growing on Jiva, and warmed his heart to see the boy want to please drin in every way possible as well as him, but he was mostly in the care of the woman. Jiva would have more of a part to play the older the kit got. He was working on rounds that he took once in a while, marking territory and making sure that it was clear of any intrusion. Everything seemed in order for the most part.
Except one thing. There were intruders, and two of them. Jiva’s heart went to his throat but he would do what’s best for his pack and he hurried to sniff them out and deal with them as proper. Jiva was no fighter but when it came to his home and his brothers and sisters and now son, he would defend it with his life. The scent grew stronger and he quickly found the intruders, both of them female and both seemed to be play fighting. Jiva stood in a defensive stance and growled, his hackles raised his tail up ears pinned to his head, and teeth showing, a sure sign that he was not playing. “You trespass, give me a good reason why I shouldn’t take either of you down right now.” He growled. His whole attitude changed in just that one discovery, and it was such a sudden change it surprised even him but that was something to ponder later on when these two were put in their place and pushed out.
