Axe found herself nodding, but not really agreeing. She wasn’t that pregnant, and with Kai constantly touching her stomach, she felt like she was reaching the end of it – which in reality, it was only just beginning. She barely had a baby bump yet, and whatever symptoms others experienced while pregnant, well, she didn’t have those yet. She shooed Kai’s hand away from her body, especially her stomach. She didn’t like to be touched in that kind of way. Axelle was not a gushing mother, and even though she probably should have been, she wasn’t. And never would be.
The two-toned female had only a few hours before she woke the coygirl up and they rushed out to meet him. Axelle wandered over to her bed, the space where the girl wasn’t sprawled out on, and laid down too. ”I need a big favor from you: make sure Couer is watered and fed, and ready to be taken out in a few hours. Have him waiting for me outside by dawn. I will be up soon.” She wasn’t tired at all, but she understood she needed rest. She wouldn’t be able to function right without it. Despite not feeling tired, as soon as she let her eyes slide closed, she was out for the count. Her and Abella were sleeping soundly on the bed – and hopefully Kai would go and do his task while they rested.
Many lazy dreams swirled around in Axelle’s head as she slept the most restless sleep yet. Her stomach was in knots, and the excitement she felt in her very core was unnatural. Was this how Eztli felt when committing a kill? Or what about Itzal? They both seemed to get off on the pure essence of murder – did they feel as weirdly excited as she did right at this moment? Even especially while still dreaming. Many pictures and scenes flashed through her mind of her killing him, beating him and it somehow gave her confidence with what was to come, even though it still scared the shit out of her.
