Whisper of the Wind

The dog calmed down some seeing the startled movement, Amatha rapidly returning to squirming around to get out and meet this new canine. Hadley's grip remained firm however. He wasn't about to let his pup go out and accidentally get herself harmed poking her nose around the various items that the stranger had with him, even if he was as friendly as he appeared to be. He nodded his head, knowing what it meant to own so little. Hadley owned a hat, some carving tools, and a house where he lived with Isa. The rest were either toys and necessities for Amatha or items belonging to his mate.

The compliment brought his head down a little, smiling. Thanks. It was good to have his work appreciated, even if it wasn't truly anything great. Could repairs have a beauty to them? He hadn't looked for it, not thinking that such a thing existed. My name's Hadley. This is my daughter Amatha. He shifted the pup in his arms, holding out a hand to shake it. He was rather enjoying this conversation, even if the weather was nowhere near as pleasant as he'd like it to be. It felt rather threatening.
