X’yrin had been sick lately and X’ies didn’t really know what he should think about it. She had been away to that other pack and had dealt the deed that would solidify their packs alliances…at least in theory. She had returned sick, and with little knowledge of what pregnancy entailed he could only assume two things, either she was pregnant and this was her bodies way of telling her that this was the case. Or that she had contracted some illness from the weak male she had mated with. ” Perhaps both”.. An inner snicker at the thought, over the past few days the weather was getting gradually worse and the majority of the pack kept inside to wait it out. However as the days went on and the weather refused to change it became apparent that this was no freak turn of weather, but a storm. X’y had not yt ordered the pack to take higher ground but X’ies anticipated that soon it would occur, and with that he would need to share his den of solitude with various others.Speaking of the alpha and her illness, she had refused to follow his orders of staying inside during her debilitation. Whilst there was a mild level of concern for the trouble this activity could place her in, he knew her to be capable enough to know her limits. And thus did not further press the point.

He had spent most of his day collecting wood for the fires, drying them in his den for use when the weather would not allow them to seek more. But it would seem that his collection was interrupted as a call went out, though this call was not normal, nor was it of an octave that he recognized. Removing himself from his den so to better hear it , he discovered that the weather had quickly turned and that the sound of the call was not disturbed by distance but rather by the sound of the rain and the wind. Still, from what he could hear it was a desperate call for help. He took off, moving quickly towards the sound of the call, it was however not easy. The wind and the rain made tracking by his senses difficult, though once within decent range, he could clearly see the person who had been calling. It was no one that X’ies recognized, so part of him thought to either abandon them in this rain or to chase them off their land.

The first seemed to be his primary option, particularly because A) the weather was not enjoyable B) This person had a horse, and he thought perhaps she was one of those non sensical fools who thought to ride what they should be eating. About to turn his back and head back towards the mountain, X’ies did see something in the corner of his eye, on the back of the horse…a red mane…with a vulture feat-. It didn’t take much more than that to spur a mix of surprise, worry and anger within the Lambda, a dangerous cocktail that would spill ut onto the scene as he rushed towards the unknown female. He would stop in front of her as to not spook the horse, there was not enough time to question the scene merely to flee it then peruse answers. There would be no time at the moment to climb the mountain, so he would have to bring X’y to her own chambers. ”…Female, you had best good answers when the time comes;for this scene I have stumbled across does not bode well, but for now come! Follow me that we may escape the rain!”. With that he would head in the direction towards the mountain and the alphas den. Of course, had they not needed to cater to the skittish animal then they would have probably moved faster, though the creature was currently baring the weight of the unconscious X’yrin which was to their advantage. And if this person was going to bare out the storm with them, the horse might make a suitable meal, so for now he held his reservations in place. Though his worries for X’yrin’s health mounted up, he would bottle them up inside and place his mind upon the situation at hand.
