Twisting Hurricane

I assumed Noah is here. If that's not okay I can change it. [WC: 403 | Pts: 3]

The storm was going to hit soon. The winds had picked up and the drips were now falling heavier and thicker from the darkening sky above. The den had been secured, barricaded and had a trench around it now. Hopefully it would be safe until the storm had passed. As for her own den, she hadn't had the time or help to barricade it...unfortunately it would probably flood and be ruined. She be forced to find somewhere else to give birth, that or dig a new den before her pups arrived. But there wasn't much time until that happened. Fayne was a bit saddened by her hard work being destroyed, but she realized it wasn't as important as getting everyone to safety. So, once the communal den was finished everyone started to relocate. Tharin's brisk howl carried through the thickening air, calling for all to follow and find somewhere safe. Fortunately, Noah had been by her side the whole time they dug out the the trench for the den so when it came time to move he was with her. It eased her mind to know he was there. There was no way in hell she'd leave without him and she was sure he'd react the same for her own safety.

The pack gathered together, all moving as a giant mass through the trees that whistled above. The wind was picking up speed, shaking loose leaves from the trees creating a rainfall of earth and water. She couldn't feel the cold against her skin as her pelt was thick, shielding her from the wet and chilly air. There'd been many storms similar to this one where she'd lived up north, but this seemed to be a bad one. There was a bad vibe that seemed to be carried through the air, she was sure everyone could feel it. Every once in a while, the Delta would stop and look behind her seeing if anyone was following. She made it a point to be towards the end of the pack so she could make sure everyone was there.

Once they made it through the usual forest, the land began to go upwards. The terrain was nothing like she'd ever walked on in New Dawn's lands before and she was careful with each step. Her paranoia was still deep and if she made even one bad move she'd be sent tumbling and her precious pups' lives would be gone in an instant. The thought terrified her, so she hurried to stay between members hoping that someone would be able to catch her if she fell. She made sure she was close to Noah as well. With time, she fell behind seeing as how slow and careful she was climbing. Whines slipped from her maw every now and then when she'd come across a difficult looking obstacle. The storm wasn't stressing her nearly as much as climbing this hill was so when she got to the top, she was grateful. Tharin was there waiting for stragglers, which she was one. She greeted him with a nuzzle and then entered, shaking her coat lightly before she found a place to settle down. She'd walked and strained enough for today, now she needed to rest. A kick brought smile to her face. Now she could relax some, hoping the storm wouldn't be too brutal on their lands.
