Ah Bria beat me! Better late than never. :: wc: 5+

The storm had come and everything they had so painstakingly prepared for would now be put to the test. Would the trenches protect the communal den? One could only hope, but Palaydrian’s mind kept drifting to Little Eden as Jiva took Leaf in his arms and the great exodus began. She alongside her mate walked on two legs, finding it easier to usher and help her packmates with the help of her 5 digits and arms. But she was in a haze, offering a hand here and there and a strong shoulder. Zalia had long take up into the mountains with Tobias, so she wasn’t worried about her feathered friend, but she thought about all the damage that could be done to her plot. She’d harvested as much as she could before the storm hit and stowed everything underneath piles of dirt within one of her tractor tires, at least her wares would be safe, but all those transplants she’d worked on over the summer how could they ever survive the soil shock of too much rain at once. No way had their roots had time to grow deeper than 6 inches. She needed to let it go and hope for the best, taking care of family was of the utmost importance now.

The wind whipped about the convoy of New Dawn wolves, managing to tear the green leather thong Zeitgeist had given her from her braid and throwing her long locks about wildly in the wind. She peered uselessly with limited eyesight into the stormy air, a pang of sadness lancing her heart. The last thing she’d have to remind of her Z was gone just like that. Drin found herself bringing up with the rear with Fayne at some point. The view was sad from back here as she kept looking behind her. Who knew what they’d come back to once the storm had passed. Eventually she was last as the expecting mother moved ahead for the incline. It was best that way, more hands to guide and push incase she’d slip. On two legs the Omega was able to grapple the rocks and hilly scree side much easier, and always able to lend a helping hand. A few slips here and there finally she brought up the rear, offering a weak smile to Tharin before entering the cavern.

Everyone had made it, their journey had been successful, but the night was far from over. Looking around, Drin quickly found her mate and child, showering them both with affectionate nuzzles and kissing Jiva on the cheek before whispering in his ear, Everyone looks so scared...maybe a story to pass the time? She suggested. They’d all be holed up for awhile and why not take advantage of her mate’s secret gift. She was sure the mother’s within the pack would be thankful as children often grew listless cooped up like this. She pulled away with a lick to his cheek, gently pulling him towards Sky and her brood hoping the presence of familiar scents would calm Lena.

Vannah is amazing!
