In Character

Helios had been driven into a frenzy. The weathers had stripped him of all his self confidence and had reverted him into a feral beast, driven by fear and instinct. With the screeching of the gale around him, he couldn't find his wit. It was maddening. His thick fur was whipped around and it seemed that rain was beginning to fall. Wailing piteously, he retreated towards the cover of the trees. With the whites of his eyes showing, he found it difficult to walk on without simply stopping and collapsing. However, some semblance of reason remained in his mind and he knew he had to find cover if he was going to ride the storm out.

At the edge of the forest, that was groaning and creaking ominously, he caught on to a familiar scent and almost cried with relief. His sister was near by and he knew that she would have more sense than him in this weather. Though he was in optime, he forced himself to return to his lupus form. His broad belt hung loose on his midsection and the sword dragged against the ground. Despite being more encumbered he felt more stable with all four feet solidly on the ground. "Mayflower!" He howled with his ears bent back and his muzzle bowed. Wildly, he sought out her lean form and saw her vaguely in the distance, her image broken by the lashing foliage. Braving a few more moments alone, he barreled into her side, relieved and happy that he had found her. Pressing his body against hers, he felt how solid she was and how his body was quivering with such terror.

"Shelter," he gasped, eyes unfocused, "Or we'll never make it out!"
