As the wolfdog lingered so close to the borders of the coyote pack, it wasn’t long before one of its members picked up on his presence. His posture remained slack but ready even when he heard the footsteps approaching, his shoulders rolled back and his arms dangling at his sides, hands curled into loose fists. One foot shifted when the other Luperci appeared: a wiry, reddish-brown male, bigger than most coyotes but still more than half a foot shorter than the large hybrid.

Skoll stared back at the other young man dumbly, a single ear twisting in a gesture of uncertainty until the coyote spoke. The words confused him, mainly because he didn’t even have an answer to that question. It was good to know that this was Inferni, though, even if he hadn’t heard a lot of stories about the fire clan due to the distance between packs.

“I’m not seeking anything, uh, coywolf,” Skoll replied, his defensive tone dropping into confusion again. Why was the other pointing out he was a wolf? It was needless, and he was a hybrid anyway; the coyote looked like a hybrid, too, with blended features that reminded him of Terra.

He shifted his weight awkwardly, his body tensing though there were no overt signs of aggression; he just felt awkward and wary, his high and hot energy burning in the back of his mind. Deciding he might as well get an answer while he was here, he gestured carelessly to the skulls and let his lip curl with a hint of disdain. “Why do you put those things up? It’s really sad and disrespectful.”
