(515) Unatsi is in Lupus form, and his spirit guide is not visible. Smile

Unatsi is by Miyu!

He hadn’t meant to get lost. He hadn’t meant to step outside, really, but some orders of business could not be attended to in the presence of other Luperci, and it had become pressing especially with the rain pouring down on everything and the streams pooling outside in the Village and just general liquid everywhere, and so he’d stepped out for just a quick little moment only to see some movement through the haze of rain blowing sideways. His mind jumped immediately to the conclusion that someone else was out there and lost, or otherwise some sad animal was wasting away and he’d have to either save it or bring its corpse in for the others. A good meal would be nice, though, even a bedraggled rabbit or something, just something to do while everyone was cooped up and waiting for the hurricane to end, if it ever would.

Anyway, Unatsikanogeni had bravely stormed off into the storm (heh) and tried to smell his way to the sad little rabbit or deer or Tribeswolf or whatever was out in the spirits-forsaken rain. And, of course, as only he could, he’d gotten turned around just a few yards away from the village and now found himself out in the middle of AniWaya territory, soaking and shivering and making pathetic hiccupping sounds that might’ve been sobs of panic if he could not be pathetic about everything.

And, of course, to top it all off, Udanvti wasn’t guiding him back.

“That’s your point, really,” the red wolf growled to her as he hunched in an open field, grass smacking him in the face and clods of dirt flying, but luckily not much more. “You’re a spirit guide, you’re supposed to guide me, and while that is metaphorical there’s no law stating that it has to be; I mean, you can easily just trudge along with your spiritual form and, y’know, call over your shoulder every once in a while, make sure I haven’t wasted away in the rain or gotten bashed on the head with a flying cow.”

The doe smiled gently at him but said nothing else, which absolutely aggravated him. He knew she was making a point not to coddle him, and to let him do everything on his own, but this should very well be an exception to the rule, “this” being a bloody hurricane and all. He huffed loudly, only to see her ears stand up; that was the last he did see of her before she seemed to disappear with the rain. He huffed again, this time in a panic, and scrambled onto all fours before he thought he heard a yapping howl break through the sound of the gales. Unless he was hallucinating, of course, that was always an option.

“I’m over here!” Unatsi howled back, bounding toward the hazy figure through the rain. Of course, his paw hit a muddy rut in the ground and he fell on his chin with a pathetic yelp, coughing for a moment before he looked up at the coyote headed toward him. “It’s about time!”
