Kable Catori

WC::OCC →

Where children were concerned Kable was nearly as clueless as any single male could be. He dealt with kids like Skoll and Heiro when they were young, but not quite as young as Terra’s pups. The odd faces and noises he made seemed to quiet them, but he couldn’t identify the expressions on their faces. In the process of trying to make the children laugh, he succeeded in making the tawny colored woman cracked. Her laughter lightened the morose feeling in the room just enough to relax, even if it was only a little.

A story had been what the Baroness suggested. Anything to distract them from the ongoing storm would be welcomed. That sounds pretty good to me. The seigneur was cold, and wet as the wind blew at his back, yet he didn’t care. The Catori male was still torn about the loss of his home and was far from over his mother’s death. Looking at the female coyote he was impressed with her, it seemed like she knew what to do. This was probably why he thought she would make a good mother. Technically he was grown man, but really at this moment he was a pathetic whimpering sight, unable to do anything for anyone really. Kable couldn’t imagine what Ayita would say if she could see him now.

What kind of a story? What’s it about? He quizzed her. The hybrid hoped it would be one with a happier tone to take his mind off the dark ferocity of this storm. His sights were on the children’s faces, he wondered if they could actually understand or if they just enjoyed the interaction.
