8D /assuming so many things
All was finally at a stand-still. From the downstairs flooding and the horses getting too close for comfort, and worse of all finding that their stores were running short, it had seemed that all hope was lost. Somehow, though, the pack had fortified the leaks, kept the beasts from tearing at each other, and they had Lorezno coming back with at least some scraps they could get by from. Certainly this was all on her mind, but on top of the misfortune was a cherry with a bitter pit that occupied her waking and sleeping thoughts.
Ever since her visit with Neela and her pups, she had been ever more aware of what she did, paying attention to her actions more often that she would have. For once, she was limiting herself. She didn't try to push herself too hard. While the reason for this was undeniably understandable, she could not help but feel it was just at the wrong time. There was no stopping it, though; she could not change what was done, or more accurate, what was going on.
She knew she could not keep the news to herself for long, and Jazper needed to be told sooner rather than later, not knowing when there would be a suitable time; again, their situation was testing her. She should have been happy, not filled with doubt and uncertainty. But, never the less, she steeled herself and went to look for her mate. She weaved through various pack mates, giving them a silent nod, following the freshest scent trail of the sun king. It led to a once unoccupied room, but now it, among with many others, were serving as temporary shelters. "Jazper?" she called out, unsure if he was really in there or if he had left recently.
