Temo had been keeping himself busy all afternoon working on this and nailing boards on that. Occasionally he saw others cleaning or working on repair jobs or moving soaking wet furniture and other stuff out of their house to dry and to get out of the way of cleaning up inside. Still weak from being malnourished was keeping him from doing some of the heavier and more tasking of jobs that he tried to do. He had been doing some cleaning and moving of detritus and salvaging of boards, some of which he used to replace damaged and missing boards on some of the less damaged houses.
With his search for usable lumber and anything else that could use some repair, his wandering had taken him past the stables. He kept his supply of nails stocked by removing any that he found in the bits of scrap and usable lumber. The good pieces of wood he used for repair and the unusable pieces he made a pile with thinking that others could take and use in their fireplaces to keep warm as the nights drew colder in addition to the downed trees and branches that littered the whole town.
