The burning need to cut into his soft flesh was overwhelming now. He had tried to stop, but it seemed nothing would work. He either cut himself, of he thought of Adonia. And out of those two, he would rather do the first. It kept his mind off his broken and angry heart and put him in control of something. Legs staggered through the neutral lands and finally he collapsed beside a tree, his knees giving way, catching his fall too.
There he stayed, crouched on his knees, resting his rump on his ankles. He stared at his left arm, it was face up, showing off the gnarly cuts and gashes that were there. His eyes locked onto a portion that hadn't been cut up yet and he traced over it with his right pointer finger. His claw was sharpened just for this reason and he felt a tingling sensation in his fingertip.
Finally he pressed his sharp talon against his skin, pushing until he could feel his skin give way and he felt the prick of pain. Then slowly, he pushed it deeper and deeper, but stopped before it got to the deep part that there was no going back from. He didn't want to kill himself after all. When he was as deep as he dared to go, he slowly dragged his claw across his arm, eyes rolling back in his head with a mixture of pain and emense pleasure spreading through him. Everything around him was forgotten and all he felt was his claw inside of him.
This next process was simple, pick a new spot, and repeat the gashing. Seven cuts later, he stopped, placing his hand at his side and he looked at his arm. Blood was everywhere, flowing from the fresh cuts on his arm. Both of the insides of his forearm were stained red from his blood now, and now this one would be even worse. He let his amber eyes look up, to find someone else there. And when he saw him, he pressed his bleeding arm against his chest. He tried to hide it, but of course this would only make it worse, staining his golden chest fur with crimson and it would slowly drip down from under his arm, spreading onto his stomach.
