It's Okay, Don't Apologize

Krystalle laid back in her room, looking over the various items that were in there. It was a comfortable enough room, even if Bartholomew was seeing her less and less. Mars was spending a lot of time with Orin and investing in her, and it made her miss them. Her eyes settled on her brush, and smiling she picked it up. She was just doing up her hair, and wanted to make sure that it looked perfect. With care she began to run it through the stocky mane that made up her mohawk, brushing out the strands so that they felt silky to the touch. It took time, the strokes methodical as she ran the brush through it. Once that was through she reached over and grabbed some sap, using it to stiffen her hair and get it to stand up.

Tilting her head Krystalle looked into the reflective glass that was there, studying her appearance. It looked well enough. Humming happily she turned and grabbed a few bracelets, along with a choker to match her outfit. They clinked softly as she moved, securing in her various piercings. She was going to look her best today. She had a date with Bartholomew. It had been a while, and she wanted to make sure that she made an impression. He wasn't going to forget her, and Mars wouldn't be able to ignore her either. She looked carefully in the mirror, seeing that she looked her best before heading out the door.

Proudly she looked over, seeing her son strumming the guitar. He was getting quite good at it, and she loved how much she took after Mars. It was a tough life, but so far he hadn't shown that he was going to follow Mars into the insanity that controlled his life. She listened to the music play through the air, Amon occasionally humming the words to the song that she was strumming. Paz was further out, probably doing her best to make friends with the other members of the pack. She was a social butterfly, rather similar to Krystalle in those aspects. It was good to know that her daughter hadn't let what had happened stop her from going out and facing others. She still felt the weight of her choice at times, remaining with someone that for much of his time loved someone else, but she wouldn't leave him. They had a family together, and they would stay that way.

Pushing such thoughts out of her mind Krystalle continued down, smiling as she passed pack members and nodding to them. It was time that she came out of her shell as well, and stopped dwelling on what wouldn't be. She could make some friends here, and seeing Bartholomew always drew a grin from her. It wouldn't be long before she saw him. Down at the pier, just like he'd promised. It was her birthday today after all.
