Crack! The sound of the bat against the tree resounded through the forest, causing small birds to abandon their home for fear that they were being attacked. Conri cackled quietly at this, head high and watching them fly away, holding the bat still against the tree for only a moment. Finally, when the small creatures were out of sight, he lowered the bat back to his side and stumbled back a few steps, quickly turning to resume his walking once more. He would go a little farther, perhaps, and find another tree of animals to terrorize. That had been the plan anyways, before a vaguely familiar scent floated through the forest and straight to his nose. Get her. The little voice told him, coaxing him on with the most soothing of tones. She wasn't very far away, just beyond a shield of trees, which Conri quickly began his way toward. "Nellllllllaaaaaaa." The name came in quite the sing-songy fashion, keeping himself hidden behind the trees. |
