He smiled as Mayflower came in to introduce him. Helios noticed her posture relax but he kept his eyes low still, he wasn't in the pack yet. He could feel the little carving in the palm of his hand rotated it between his thumb and index finger. Placing it on the ground, he offered it to her as an example of his skill. For a split second he eyed the trinket expectantly as if it were going to do something special, but instead he gestured to his sister's direction.
"Mayflower can play the flute, she's been playing ever since we were pups." He smiled in remembrance at the first few times she had tried to play the instrument. The attempts had been laughable but as they grew and then, as they traveled, she became better and better until even the birds would quiet to listen to her play. The Shepherd would have happily boasted her skill but he knew that she was not one for arrogance in such matters stayed quiet. Though, he felt an inkling of insecurity that their artistic talents would not be enough, for a pack needed to eat as well. Taking note of the pups, he knew that everyone needed to be fed and beautiful as carvings and flute playing was, it wouldn't fill empty bellies. "Both of us are proficient hunters, we've had a lot of practice." The dog blurted out and put his hand on the hilt of his sword for confidence.
