It was hard for him to believe that he would leave Salsola the exact same way he left the Hearg. Why was he so apt to just leaving without a word to anyone? Was it because he felt as if the Gods were leading him away from the places he once thought were supposed to have his presence? Yes, this was one reason. The other reason was because of women. Siv had ultimately caused him to leave the Hearg, for if she had not put him under a love spell, then perhaps they wouldn't have committed the sin of defiling the ceremony grounds. He still would have been a Hundr, and he would have more than likely stayed in the Hearg. This was not the case though, because of Siv, and once he had gotten to Salsola, sure, Siv helped him get into the pack because of family ties, and he got to meet his daughter, but that life.... it just wasn't for him, and neither was it for Alessandra either. She was the second woman to make him leave somewhere to live elsewhere. This one he did not mind as much has the first one, because he loved Lessa, and it was not a perverted love like it was with Siv. Lessa was not related to him in any way, by blood, or marriage. Siv and he were cousins, so it was against his morality to be with his cousin, even if he did, at one time, love her.
His loyalty was now promised to the Virding of Vinatta. It did not lie with Salvia and the Thistle kingdom anymore because of the departure of the Boss. Reykr realized that Salvia was a power-hungry bitch that might as well just run Salsola into the ground if she was not fair with her judgement. Reykr obviously did not think that Salvia would do the pack justice, but he could be wrong. The woman could bring them much prosperity if she played her cards right. The question was if she would play them right at all. Reykr left his home in Jorheim this afternoon to hunt for him and his lovely mistress, Alessandra. He had asked her and Max to stay behind, for he could take down his prey alone, with the help of his steed. He also didn't want Val to be distracted by Vahalla, since the horse and the Elk seemingly did not get along. He rode gracefully on the back of his odd steed. One could ask, why an Elk as a mount? They weren't the best of steeds, but Val got the job done, and he was loyal as hell.
He rode the Elk as if it was natural though, and it was somewhat strange even to him to have such a steed, but as said before, Val got the job done right. Reykr was tracking a small band of deer that he had seen earlier in the day, and their scents led him straight to the Sacred Grove, where he felt a pressure on his chest to not hunt while he was on these lands. He understood that this was the Gods' way of telling him that these lands were sacred and he should not defile them like he was oh-so good at doing. He took the warning and he dismounted his steed and looked around the clearing. The Hurricane did it;s damage here, and he figured that he might as well help clean sine there seemingly was not anyone else around to do so at the moment. He started at the alter, re-stacking the stones to the way he knew that they should look.
