Maybe God wanted me to be Nothing Special

She was useless at home. With the cold front brought about by the hurricane, her offspring had fallen ill. Saul was tending to them better than she could. She had fed them, or at least she'd tried to. While they'd accepted some of the nutrition their mother had to offer them, they were nowhere near as hungry as usual. After hours of fretting over their sneezing and wheezing as they slept, she'd decided to step out for some fresh air. Saul was watching over them; making sure to keep them separated from Colibri's children, in hopes of keeping the illness from spreading. It was nothing to worry about but one could never be too careful, he had assured her.

The Sacred Grove called to her. While she should have sought the Godja's friendship and guidance, Lilin did not feel particularly talkative. She could communicate with the Gods wordlessly. They would heal her children. Her silent prayers would be carried by the wind to a place unattainable by the living. The hurricane had left isolated flood damages in its wake, fallen and uprooted trees - a broken scenery. The Soulstorm heir had not stepped outside until now, and the extent of the damages done to her cherished grove came as a shock.

She noticed the steed before its owner; a male working on the reconstruction of Miskunn's horgr. The Virding had never seen him before- she watched him for some time, unsure of what to say or how to react. Intruders in the grove were normally met with hostility but the scent of her pack clung to man's pelt. He was a Vinattan. A believer too, from the looks of it. Lilin examined the position of each stone; the manner with which he stacked them on top of the damaged foundation. He knew what to do. Pursing her lips into a thin line, the Virding leaned over and took possession of a stone at her feet before making her way to him. "Thank you," she murmured, kneeling next to the male and depositing her piece of the puzzle in its rightful place.
