The male was working when Val had noticed a disturbance. His large ears turned towards the woman, and his deep brown eyes were on the woman. Valknut snorted at the woman and then he turned his head towards Reykr and gave a grunt to the man. Reykr recognized that Valknut was trying to get his attention, but he ignored the steed for a moment as he thought about how the setup was. It wasn't until he looked up and smelt the woman that he noticed her, and by this time, she had been watching him, and knowing what he was doing. He was only doing what was natural to him. He saw that the altar had broken down, and he needed to rebuild it, since he apparantly was the first one to come about the damage. He smiled as the woman thanked him, and she began to help him fix things up. His tail wagged lightly and he nodded his head. He knew not of who this woman was, but her scent was strong, like Saul's was. In fact, her scent was intermingled with Saul's, and he had smelt the smell of this woman before. He remembered it from the night he joined. Saul's home. Had he mentioned her? Reykr tried to remember, and he believed that there was another name thrown into the mix, and he tried to think of it, but he was not sure of the name, so he did not speak of it. You're welcome, m'lady. It's the least I can do. the male spoke to the woman finally, and he nodded his head before he picked up another rock and returned it to it's supposed position.

My name is Reykr Helsi. I only recently came to Vinatta, but I'm glad to call it home. he dared not utter of the lands he came from, for he was a traitor to them now, but even as a traitor, he still did not like to speak of them because of their secretive nature. He slightly still respected their customs, even though he had willingly left their ranks. He was not willing to speak about his old home, for that was his business, and no one else's. Oh, and that's Valknut over there. He's weird around strangers, but he warms up to others eventually.the male introduced his steed too, because he figured she might have found it weird that an Elk, of all creatures would be so close by to Reykr, who was a wolf, their natural predator. Some say the only reason Valknut stayed with Reykr was because that way, there was little chance of him getting eaten. That was a praise that was to the creature's intelligence. No one would really be able to tell if the aloof animal was actually dumb or smart though because he often was silly, but also serious at other times. He was as strange as his master, this was something that was for sure. Maybe the gods were telling him something when they gave him the odd steed. Maybe they were telling him that he was destined to always be.....Strange....
