The rain washed much away and his home did not look as it once had been. the rivers were flooded, the lake looked larger, and old deadwood was washed away or had moved only a few inches. The paths the wolves made to go to and from certain areas were gone, and even the only cabin they had, had been destroyed though it was being repaired by many hands. Jiva took it upon himself to work the deadwood away from the den when they got down from the mountain. He was just happy to be on level ground again and home, though his and Drin’s den was washed away and he would have to start anew if she wanted her own little private den again. It was still a good spot the outcropping was still there, just water and mud now resided where their home use to be.
He had been devastated to see much of Drin’s garden had been washed away and he offered to watch over Leaf to see if she could find anything that could be saved. The boy was a cute little thing and though he made different sounds than that of a wolf or dog, he still made himself understood. The boy was being rambunctious today and Jiva didn’t mind it, he let the little boy chase him, while he ran a few paces and let the child tackle his ankle and Jiva would fall. He was thinking less and less of the children he could have had with Drin and thought more and more about the little child that was playing with him at this moment. He was on his back with the tiny little child tackling him in the belly and Jiva was laughing at the boy. He really was one to warm the heart. Jiva thought.
