How he felt about Amy, now that was an interesting subject for the dark Nomad leader. He had thought them similar for a long time. Perhaps more so than anyone else he knew in this land. Had things gone down a different path, hell, he could have very easily loved the dangerous, sexy dog. But they hadn’t. If fact, quite the opposite had happened. It was his and Amy’s relationship that had brutally shaken the rest of Jaden’s life. One night of passion led on by intoxication and the Issum’s love life would seem to eternally suffer, all because him and the blond dog were much different from one another than he thought. She was a monster, a killer, a person to be hated by those who had a straight and narrow moral compass. Not a person to allow as close as he had. But what could be done about that now? His relationship with the woman he’d loved had radically changed already. He could get the truth from her. That would be his goal: figure out why she had played on their similarities and misled him.

He glanced over as she entered the room that was now strewn with wooden debris. Beautiful, he couldn’t deny even as feelings of mistrust had settled in him. Called him a fool and prodded as to his intentions but not before pointing out his lack of alertness. Typical Amy from what he knew of her but the remark about “a lady friend to impress” stung. A small part of him did blame her for the loss of X’yrin, the part that didn’t hate X’ies for it that is. He didn’t show it though as he stood and stretched his back painfully. Trying to find some value in this retched place. He grumbled. Then he stepped over the larger pieces of broken wood and moved to pass by where Amy stood in the doorway and into the clear and decollate living room beyond.

Whether she would let him pass unhindered into a less cluttered and human-skull-filled place, his next words would be the same. He would look to her brown eyes with a mask that couldn’t exactly be called friendly about his face. I have more pressing matters than constant training now-a-days being leader of a northern... Besides he then sighed and let his gaze wander over the dark house’s interior as he spoke. This place is far from natural. Why anyone would want to call this a home, I’ll never know.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.
