It was Jiva who took the lead and Saul turned to him, green eyes watching not only the pale male but his two female companions. The fox kit on the floor provided a distraction and for a moment Saul glanced down at him. It struck him then that Palaydrian did not carry pups with her, nor was she heavy with pregnancy. She'd been showing when Jiva and Drin had arrived at Vinátta's borders not long ago- his thoughts concluded that she must have miscarried or had a still-birth. Either option was heartbreaking and Saul felt his heart thump loudly in his chest. Turning back to Jiva as his words registered, Saul couldn't help the surprise. He'd assumed they'd been more than happy in New Dawn, but it appeared not.
After nodding softly, a non-verbal acceptance to them all that they weren't encroaching and it wasn't unsuitable, Saul turned to listen to the male once more as he revealed his and Drin's hunting abilities as well as his interest in healing. Saul smiled softly, knowing he had a bit of a soft spot for healer of all sorts. Palaydrian, on the other hand, was a lot more vocal than their last meeting and Saul couldn't help the grin as she admonished her mate and began to expand on what the male could do. Saul was impressed and was more than happy when she continued to explain about her own skill set. He thought immediately that the female would get on well with Anu, who had similar interests.
And finally it seemed 'Lena's' turn, as Jiva had introduced the female as. She launched straight in after Palaydrian's short introduction and Saul couldn't help a good-hearted chuckle. After a few seconds, Saul could see that the female was blind and this made her skills all the more impressive. He accepted all three with a gentle nod, before considering. You and your skills, all of you, are more than welcome in our lands. But what of the lands you've come from? What made you leave? He asked, curiosity colouring his words as he turned to Jiva first.
