Her voice was quiet, almost too quiet for Ookami to hear. He was so transfixed on her though. Something about the way that that music had lifted his heart, he couldn't even think to ask what she had said. Then she started playing again. His amber eyes were glued onto the instrument she was holding, not able to look away.
He hadn't realized he was holding his breath until she stopped playing and a large breath whoosed out of him. He felt strange. His heart was beating so fast in his chest, he was sure that the wonderful girl before him with the amazing music could see his chest pounding. His eyes stayed locked on her, hardely hearing what she said.
He shook his head as she spoke, "It was... heartlifting." It was the only thing that could really describe how he was feeling. These past few weeks of his heart sinking lower and lower each and every day. And now, in just a few notes of a flute, his heart was lifted skyhigh. But it was weird. It felt like everything was moving in slow motion as he felt his heart flutter in his chest. Why was such simple music making him feel so strange? He didn't get it, and he wasn't sure if he really wanted to.
Her voice sounded in his ears again, soft and quite. And for the first time in a while, he smiled.. Really smiled. "My name is Ookami. I am quite new here.. Who are you?" His voice was soft and sweet, kind and love filled. This was so weird, he didn't know how to explain these feelings. He felt normal again.
