At last, glossy wings unfurled and stroked the air lovingly once more. With the passing rains the skies were again clear to soar across, and with the destruction of nature below, prey of the deceased kind as bound to be plentiful for appease the starved gullet of the glorious avian above. Strong wing beats pushed the bearded vulture higher into the sky to a height were he could glide with ease then twist his body into a stark plummet toward the earth. He would fall with wings tucked; a creature in freefall bound for the ground, then spread his wings seamlessly and pull himself aloft again and taste the air as the called out with glee.

Tethered to the earth, a golden form would watch the aerobatics of her elated companion and sing softly to him to attach a tone to his feats. Though she could not join him in flight, she could at least enjoy his dance and share in his happiness at being free to roam again. The moment was stolen and would surely not last. No doubt the voice of her mate would call after her in summons to bring her back to the safety of the Family. It would not be an order, but a request out of care and love. At least, she told herself so to find reason for the exalted wolf's strong arm behavior. But she was still Issor and had a right to her own time. And by the Ancestors she would have it! ...as long as it was not interrupted by worrisome calls.

With head tilted skyward, she followed the path of her excited friend, subconsciously taking care not to trod on her length tresses with the large, damp paws of her more impressive form. As she watched him, she would note the tiny droplets that bounced on her muzzle and the late call of her companion 'warning' that rain was coming. Rain was always there, she would tell him and growled softly for his return. But something kept him overhead and turned his body into a circular path. The ground...something moved on the ground. Immediately X'yrin halted in her walk and turned her eyes down toward the land head. Her ears were drawn forward, twitching to the littlest sound as she was now set on alert. Her cords began to quiver to sound a warning to what she assumed was a creature like herself. But in this realization was no comfort, only a justified caution and subtle fear that she could be in danger.
