Kiara had somehow managed to ignore the numerous number of females that went into heat. Their scent could be maddening, even for other females. Yet, perhaps it was because she was the female that Kiara wasn't affected as much. Once away from the pack den and in the open fields where the scent didn't permeate, the arctic female was able to forget that a wolf was in heat. It was difficult though. There were times where it felt like the luperci went into heat one right after another with absolutely no breaks. Why was that?
Heat or not, didn't matter. All that mattered at the moment was how badly she could scare the crows and avoiding their angry beaks. Kiara yelped as one of the birds managed to grab hold of her ear and tugged a couple fur offs. Growling, she twisted and got a mouthful of feathers, causing the poor bird to squawk as it flew away. Triumphantly, she spit the feathers out and paused as the crows flew in circles around her. They cried both in low speech and in high speech. While Kiara could not understand their avian speak, some choice words did come across in high speech.
The arctic wolf's tail wagged jovially behind her, and a grin stretched across her face. Defeated, the crows flew off with what feather's they had left. Kiara cocked her head as she watched them go, wondering if it would be worth it to give chase. The approach of Tharin's scent made her descision instantaneous. Turning, Kiara smiled and lowered her tail respectfully. Sure she had been upgraded to the Epsilon rank, but Tharin would alway be higher than her. He was her beta now, the protecter and overseer of the pack.
The silver male trotted towards Kiara, his brown eyes burning. Whining happily, the snowy female licked Tharin's muzzle and nuzzled against him as he nuzzled against her. However, something was different. Kiara paused as she felt Tharin's possessive tugs. "Tharin?"
