Malakai was quiet now - Aeron was his Alpha and even he knew to submit to her, to show her the upmost respect in all things. As the youngster answered Aeron, about not being afraid, Kai's muzzle broke once more into a hint of a grin - she was brave, this pup, he could tell. At least, when she grew a little bigger and a little older, he knew she would be fearless. Something deep down inside of him swelled at the prospect and it was such an odd things. This pup was nothing to do with him, not of his blood or kin and yet when he thought of taking the pup in, of teaching her, watching her grow, helping to mould her, a sense of pride within him flared.
As his name was spoken by Aeron, Kai's eyes lifted to her and he nodded immediatly. "Yes, Angela, I am loyal to you and to the pack. You know I am loyal." And he was. Kai would do anything for his pack, he would do things that most others would back away from. As he was asked to move behind the pup, the male nodded and obeyed quickly, circling around until he came to a stop behind Leilah as instructed, watching as Aeron sliced her paw, his eyes dancing as the scent of blood drifted around them. He knew what was coming and it made him grin a little more. His ears perked as the Angela spoke to him once more, mentioning that he could teach her loyalty towards Aeron - was that Aeron's way of giving him guardianship of the pup? Maybe not quite that far, but it was a hint that he would help teach her, help guide her as she grew. Once more, that feeling of pride expanded within him as his eyes cast down to the girl. Aeron had asked for her paw and he watched closely to see if she would do as she was asked, bowing his head just a little as a sign of encouragement if the girl happened to look behind to him.
