Seconds passed, then minutes, then an hour. X'ies was left just sitting there watching and waiting for a response from Vinatta. However none would come, not a response from their leader or a response from any of their members. He briefly looked over at Shylome, then back at the pack borders. His thoughts now lay with three likely conclusions as to why the call was going unanswered. Number one, following the first and last meeting between the two the Puppy King had declared that members of the collective were to be ignored on the borders. However even then it didn't add up, the Vinattans would not know the voice of the collective or indeed of X'ies as Jaden was the one to call for them the last time. This also led however into point two. There was the possibility that their security was just absolutely terrible. That said not many people actually announced themselves before raiding a territory...but even then not a single curious soul willing to come and see what was going on? It made no sense that no one would come to greet him, unless of course they were being watched at the borders as any stranger would be.But then the grey wolf or the Hyena would probably have picked something up by now.

There was of course the possibility that Vinatta had gone inward assuming that the rumoured influx of Stormbringers X'yrin refereed to was in fact a pregnancy. Tending to the brood and putting foreign relations on hold, but even then..."...The safety of the litter would be paramount.... not responding to their borders would indicate a weakness in their defenses...". X'ies was willing to wait a little bit longer for a response however he was beginning to suspect that even with a second call, this visit was a fruitless one. " Or...at least partially....". He thought to himself, after all if he had learned at this point that Vinattan border was poorly guarded, then if the collective required an attack on them...this information would be useful.
