Today was a day to stay in Helotes had decided. It was cold outside, and he did not much feel like scouting or doing anything else. Instead he decided he was going to tidy up his room even more so than he had the previous week. The mud left in the cracks of the floorboards had since dried and was easily swept up, along with tufts of fur and bones that his children had managed to hide in the nooks and crannies of his room. He had sent his two kids off somewhere, he didn’t care, so long as they weren’t in his way; Timori had been more than glad to take them off his hands.

Once he had gotten to airing out the pelts on his cot, he had noticed that some of the furs underneath were still wet and smelled moldy. They weren’t ruined, they just needed to be aired out, so he grabbed the lot and headed down to storage to swap them out for some dry ones. He hobbled down the stairs, barely able to look past the pile in his arms, but he noticed a small figure also moving towards the door leading down to storage; it was Sparrow.

He didn’t say anything right away, but he did manage to catch up to her and shifted the bundle in his arms so he could look at her better, Good day, Sparrow. Haven’t seen you around much. He grinned at her in a friendly sort of way. He couldn’t remember if he had ever spoken with her before, but perhaps he didn’t want Vesper to think he might be hitting on her or something. She was a cutie that was for sure, perhaps that’s why he had stayed away.
