Amy stood at the head of the wagon. Lucias was old enough that she had taken Kohaku's old place in the back of the wagon. Lucias no longer had to be coddled and kept with Amy at all times. The merchant traveled through the lands, scouring what she saw. She had to be vigilant with New Dawn hunting for her. Even as young as Lucias was Amy had started training her. Her daughter hadn't enjoyed the respite Kohaku had had, waiting until he was old enough to start fully developing. Lucias' body and mind were not ready, but she didn't have the choice, drilling into Lucias' head how to be stealthy and stay hidden. Other lessons would have to wait until she was older.

Pulling the wagon to a halt Amy checked the clearing. It was hidden enough that she wasn't concerned about discovery, and still large enough that she could see those who would try to approach. Unhitching the horse Amy moved to the wagon, grabbing supplies to begin building a campfire. Lighting it up Amy pulled out the finishing touches, setting up furs for them to nestle in. Stepping back she surveyed the camp and nodded. Now they could have something to eat, and Lucias could come out to play.
