Word Count :: +3 This is dated for the morning of Oct 14th, when Zalen awakes to realize that Adonia has been taken. This is not mandatory, but it will be assumed that all characters (at least the ones living in the communal den) are present.

When the Alpha woke, he immediate knew something was wrong. He lay on his stomach, his head slightly raised as sleepy eyes scanned the den. The sun was beginning to rise, and the dim light cast the shadows of his sleeping members around eerily. But there was a smell here, something that didn’t belong. He stood and began sniffing around; yes, there was the scent of another wolf here, one that didn’t belong and one that was drenched with another scent that sent chills into his core; Amy.

Pupils dilated, drawing in more light; things became clearer. There were missing bodies, or at least, one missing that was supposed to be here. Shawchert and Sky stayed at the clinic, and Fayne and Noah were holed up in their birthing den, but there was one wolf gone that should be here; Adonia. Zalen made a beeline right to where she was supposed to be sleeping; it still smelled like her here, but it also smelled like the intruder; and then he saw it; a small splatter of blood against the stone floor. Zalen’s blood ran cold.

Trying not to become frantic, Zalen followed the scent of the intruder, which was now intermingled with Adonia’s, out into the frosty morning. He followed it through the pack-lands and beyond the borders before the scent was dispersed by a river. Good God, they had taken Adonia! The Alpha’s throat was gripped with fear and he was not even able to call out until he had turned and made it nearly all the way back to the den. That’s when his whining howl called for the attention of everyone that could hear him. He could feel the fear inside slowly begin twisting, turning into a dark hatred and lust for revenge that was like a poison.
